Officers

  • Paul Campanella, President
    Paul Campanella has been a management consultant and trainer for 17 years and has been active in Orange CountyPaul Campanella with several Not-for-Profits. Paul is active with Monroe Boy Scout Troop 540, a member of the Monroe Knights of Columbus, is a member of and has served on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Chamber of Commerce and is past Board Chair for Museum Village where he is still a Trustee.
    Prior to starting Action Plus Project Management, Inc., Paul worked in industry for 30 years and was last a Director of Engineering for Becton Dickinson & Company. Paul holds a Masters of Science degree from Polytechnic University and a Bachelor of Science (ME) from the New York Institute of Technology. Paul and his wife Mary have lived just outside Monroe in Chester since 1974.
  • Charles Pakula, Vice President
    Charles Pakula is a local business owner with strong ties in the community developed through many years of volunteerismCahrlie Pakula and 35 years of living in Harriman. For the past fourteen years Charlie has owned and operated the GNC franchise in Federal Plaza. Charlie is a veteran having served our country in the USAF after 4 years with an Honorable Discharge.
    Many in the community know Charlie through his long involvement in the Boy Scouts of America. In addition Charlie has held leadership positions in Rotary International, Past Zone Chair with the Lion’s Club and served for two years as the Chief Knight in NYS for the Knights of Pythias. Charlie is also a Trustee of the Monroe Free Library and a Past Commander of the American Legion.
    Charlie has received awards and recognition through his leadership of many community organizations including “Business of the Year” from the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, “Community Organization Award” from the American legion, the “District Award of Merit” and “Silver Beaver Award” from the Boy Scouts of America, and many others, too numerous to mention.
  • Marilyn McIntosh, Secretary
    Marilyn McIntosh is the Executive Director of Monroe Free Library.Marilyn McIntosh She began working at the library in 1984, and assumed her current position in 1994. She holds the chair of the Directors' Association of the Ramapo-Catskill Library System, and spent three years as chairperson of Automated Network Services (ANSER). She is an active member of the Mountain View United Methodist Church, where she has worked with Community Blood Services to organize blood drives locally. She is a volunteer at Edward J. Russell Elementary School in Pine Bush.
    Marilyn holds a Masters of Information Science and Policy degree from University of Albany and a certificate in Public Library Administration from Long Island University; she holds a Bachelor of Science from Lowell University. She is a resident of Pine Bush, and has lived in Orange County since 1974. She is a mother of two, stepmother of three and grandmother of one.
  • John A. Fontana, Treasurer
    John Fontana is a Monroe resident of 28 years. He is the owner of TheMarilyn McIntosh Fontana Group, an Employee Benefits and Human Resources firm. As a professional with over 30 years of strategic planning and administration that has encompassed the corporate and consulting areas, John brings to his role at the chamber experience and understanding of businesses, small and large. John holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and an MBA in Accounting from Fordham University. He has been a member of the US Chamber of Commerce Benefits Committee and also served on the Chamber’s special committee working with members of Congress on the funding of the Social Security and Medicare system. John is profiled in Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, and Who’s Who in the World. He is married and a father of three, all graduates of the MW School District. His Labrador Retriever puppy's name is Lucy.

  • Michael Littier
    Michael Littier Michael Littier has owned Mill Pond Cleaners for 16 yrs. and lived in Monroe for 20 yrs . He also owns Mill Pond Holdings (a real estate investment co.). Mike currently serves on the Village of Monroe Activities committee. Prior to owning Mill Pond Cleaners, Mike had a 25 year career in financial services where he held management positions in secondary capital markets, risk management, sales and product management. His last position was VP/ Product Manager for the private bank of Bankers Trust Co. Mike holds a BS in Management from Empire State College and is a graduate of the MBA school of Mortgage Banking. He is a veteran of the US Air force and a former scout leader.
  • Ronen Divon
    Ronen Divon A business entrepreneur and internet innovator, Ronen has been building businesses since 1995. His company, Progressive Element (www.ProgressiveElement.com), provides Online Business and Web Development, as well as a host of online services. Ronen is also the owner of Monroe Yoga and Tai Chi with a passion for health and wellness, a published writer and a father of four young adults in the MW school system. He is active in the business community through local chambers as well as BNI.

     
  • Stephen B. Kalmus
    Stephen B. Kalmus A seasoned veteran of the insurance industry, Stephen holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration & Finance from Ramapo College of New Jersey. He is licensed as a property and casualty, as well as life and health insurance broker through the New York State Insurance Department, and is also a graduate of The Hartford School of Insurance. Stephen serves on the 2012 Sales Advisory Panel for Marshall & Sterling.
